I visited the Sultan’s Dine branch in Dhanmondi during late afternoon for lunch. Here’s what I thought about the ambiance, service, and quality of the food.
Environment

The restaurant was busy even though it was way past lunch time. We could not find any space on the first floor and were directed to go up to the fourth floor. This floor was also packed, and we ended up sharing the table with other patrons. It was a bit uncomfortable to sit with my group facing total strangers. On the restaurant environment part, I will give it a 6 out of 10.
Service
All staff were busy running around trying to accommodate everyone. It was chaotic and getting the attention of anyone was a challenge. Service gets 5 out of 10.
Food Quality

The Sultan’s Dine menu was in a single page and straightforward.

Sultan’s Dine mutton kacchi biryani was good but not great. It did not have the strong aroma of biryani that I was expecting and the taste was also on the mild side. The meat was tough and it felt like some coloring agent was used on it. It gets a 7 out of 10.

Sultan’s Dine beef rezala had the correct flavor but lacked in intensity for taste. It gets a 7.5 out of 10.

Sultan’s Dine roast chicken was not the best and it felt like coloring was used on it. It gets a 6 out of 10. The jali kabab was possibly made from chicken and it was really good and highly recommended. It gets a 9 out of 10.

Sultan’s Dine borhani was thick and had a pleasant taste. It had the right balance of sweetness, saltiness, and spiciness and was satisfying to drink. It gets a 9 out of 10. The firni was thick and creamy and had a good taste. It gets a 8 out of 10.
Overall, the food quality was acceptable but there are better options elsewhere. The food experience gets an average of 7.75 out of 10.
Overall experience
With 6/10 for environment, 5/10 for service, and 7.75/10, the experience at Sultan’s Dine Restaurant is acceptable but not amazing.
